Oi oi. Here is some more tuneage.

This is a song by Spor, who make lovely dirty drum & bass, and who do not get enough credit for doing so. 'Hydra' features a ridiculously epic build-up before going a bit mental. It's very Pendulum-like in parts so anyone who likes them should like this too... and if not, you still might. Who knows?

This song is taken from the fucking excellent 'Warrior Dubz' compilation, put together by Mary Anne Hobbs from Radio One, which I would very highly recommend. It's a bit filthy and I love it.

'ave it.

Hello, here is a song.

It's the new Dizzee Rascal song, 'Sirens', which is a bit of a departure from what I've heard of his before, but it's very, very good.

Also, the guitar riff at one point really reminds me of 'Here To Stay' by Korn, whether intentionally or not.

The video is also rather good. It has a horse in it.

Ooh, you lucky devils, two in one night.

Anamanaguchi are a very interesting band which I discovered through the Something Awful forums (hay goons), and who have recently completed a rather disastrous UK tour. The best way I can describe them is pop-punk with one of the guitars replaced by a NES, although that doesn't really do them justice. I think it'd be better to just listen to them.

My personal favourite track of theirs is Power Supply, so give it a go.

YAY! Welcome to my new MP3 blog. What that means is that every time I can be bothered, I'll put up an MP3 of something that I quite like listening to in the hope that someone else might quite also like to listen to it, and then all will be right in the world.

I guess I should add that if you like anything that you hear on here, you should make the effort to buy the records and support the artists, which is what I'm also trying to do by doing this.

Also, until I get some proper hosting sorted out, I'll be using YouSendIt, and depending on how many people want to download the tunes, I'm not sure how long the links will last so I may have to rethink it, but consider this an experiment I guess. The YSI links expire after 7 days, so I guess that'll do.

I doubt I'll do much to the layout and that sort of thing, but if you add the journal to your friends page, it won't matter anyway.

Anyway, enjoy!

For the first post, here is the song that inspired the name of this blog - 'Audio Damage' by Future Funk Squad. This is taken from a live set they played at Cargo in London. They're best known for their remixes, I guess, but their own stuff is pretty reminiscent of artists like The Crystal Method and The Chemical Brothers, except with an MC.

Edit: found a better host, I think... we'll see which one lasts the longest.
